ADELAIDE DRIVE

This Santa Monica project was born out of the need for collaboration. A half-acre of land with two large units were recently purchased, and begged to be refreshed. R.ARCH teamed with MK Workshop, an Interior Design firm based in NYC, to produce a full redesign of both units. R.ARCH is happy to lead the efforts locally.

R.ARCH is currently providing design, production, and project delivery consultation. We’ve worked closely with MK Workshop to propose a design and schedule that is sensitive to both the needs of the Owners and the requirements of the local historical commission.

WEST ADAMS HOME

IN PROR

A savvy investor, and contractor, purchased this large property near USC, and has not stopped investing in it since. R.ARCH was retained to fully redesign this century-old gem, and maximize the liveable space. We’re excited to polish this diamond in the-rough!

El SEGUNDO GARAGE

The Owner and her partner, a sports entrepreneur and a glass artist respectively, compromised on their garage redesign. They needed a space large enough to not only stack their collection of classic cars, but also allow for an art studio upstairs. And, they rightfully needed an exterior deck, to properly utilize the view of the ocean. Upon a few conversations with the local Planning Department, we discovered that we could make it all fit.

The first floor of the garage allowed for two mechanical lifts, or “car stackers,” and an open work space, so it required a tall ground floor. Luckily, the slope of the property allowed for a tall space, without seeming “massive” from the street. The “Spanish Revival” look was desired, which posed an opportunity to break the height with a “Juliet” balcony.

ALHAMBRA HOME

This charming home in Alhambra grew too small for it’s growing family. The Owners desired more than the current two bedrooms provided, and they wanted their home to grow up. Maintaining the “Spanish Revival” style was required, but we pushed for a modern interpretation.
